Once it again, it was time for game night shenanigans! What was the theme? There wasn’t one, but completely unplanned everyone had a twin except for me. And when Scott showed up, he made the red and black twins, triplets! It gave us quite a laugh once we realized it. As with every game night, there were lots and lots of laughs. At the end of the night when we were putting stuff away, I dropped a bottle of blueberry puree and it went EVERYWHERE, including the ceiling and Moose!

One day Scott and I felt like riding our bikes onto the ferry and riding around Carolina Beach. I think we picked the hottest day possible to go.

I went with Chelsea and some other friends to Cape Side Brewing to watch the Hatch Brothers perform. We ended up with a pretty large group. It was a good show.

My January friends and I had an adult day at the pool. Lindsay invited us to her community pool for some much needed sun time with friends. Our day was cut short due to a nasty thunderstorm that rolled in. We tried waiting it out but it ended up staying around. We moved the party to Lindsay’s screened porch and hung out for awhile before heading home.

Scott and I wanted to try out our new kayak trailer designed for the bikes. We loaded it up and went to the kayak launch by the marina. We explored the creek until we ran out of room and then we crossed the intracoastal and paddled a little out there. It was a beautiful day.

Sadly, we got the news that Scott’s dad passed away. We made a trip up to see his mom. While we were there we were also able to visit with two of his sisters. I’m sad over the circumstances for why we were there, but it was nice to visit with them. On our last day before going home, we took a quick boat ride on the lake and I took Scott on a brief JetSki ride. Thank you to our friend Eileen for allowing us to stay with her in such short notice.
