So, we were walking along the promenade and we noticed that there were tons of berries! \u00a0Blackberries and \u201cblueberries\u201d galore. I ate a few blackberries and told Scott to eat some of the \u201cblueberries\u201d. \u00a0Amazed by how many there were, I sent my dad a picture via text to show him. \u00a0When he saw the picture he asked me what they were and I replied \u201cblueberries\u201d. \u00a0He responded with those aren\u2019t blueberries! \u00a0 Bahhahahah. \u00a0Scott became a little worried that I may have just poisoned him. \u00a0We spent the rest of our walk back trying to research berries to find out if indeed they were bad. \u00a0We finally found that they were salal berries and safe to eat! \u00a0It is a berry native to the Pacific Northwest. \u00a0Here are pictures of the plants and some of the blackberries that we harvested.<\/p>\n
