We had beautiful weather this holiday weekend. Saturday, we took advantage of the weather and went kayaking with our friends Dawn and Ken. We got on the ferry and made our way to Carolina Beach to kayak to Shark Tooth Island. Ken had never been kayaking and Dawn only one time before. We had a good time and found lots of sharks teeth. It was mostly uneventful until we were headed back and Dawn’s hat blew off. We both reached for it and over we went. It was in shallow water so it was easy to get right back on. We went for lunch and got on the last ferry back to Southport. It was a super fun day.

Monday we had our annual Memorial Day Beach Day. It was a great day. We got out to the beach in the 9:00 time frame and Bobbie and I left in the 5:00 time frame. We always have a good time when we are together. Only some minor sunburn otherwise it was a perfect day.
