Girl’s Nights and Pups

I went to Wilmington with some friends to see a play called The Heathers. We first stopped by a hole in the wall Mexican place that we just happened across while walking around. It was tiny but good. We still had some time before the play so we decided to walk to another restaurant to have a drink. While we were on our way, we came across a place that caught our attention so we went in to check it out. It was a really neat bar so we decided to stay there for our drink before making our way to the theater. I was unsure what the play was going to be about. I was just going because I liked the people I was going with. They warned me it would be wild. It was, but I liked it a lot.

I had a girls night out in Southport with a couple of friends. We started with dinner at Cafe Koa. I had never been before but I’m trying to expand my horizons. I ordered trash can nachos. When my plate arrived, my jaw dropped and the waitress laughed. I had no idea that they actually came in a “trash can”. I lifted up the can and voila, it was the nachos and all the toppings. They were very good. Next stop was The Haven for a few drinks and some live music. Lindsay joined us while we were here. After closing the place down, we headed to the Royal James. It’s a fairly new place in town. We had great seats at the sidewalk window and enjoyed a drink. Our last stop for the evening was of course the Tiki Tavern. We enjoyed listening to some karaoke and we had some great people watching. It’s always a fun time with these ladies.

The next day, I met up with my friends Jeanne and Carol to celebrate Jeanne’s birthday. I met them at the Royal James (sat in the same seat as last night) and had a few drinks and shared a pretzel. Jeanne really wanted to play pool but the upstairs was closed for a private party so we decided to go to the Tiki Tavern to play on their pool tables. We also played ping pong and darts in their new front game room.

And now for a few pictures of our pups. These two definitely keep us on our toes. FYI: Moose now weighs 77lbs!
