Cape Disappointment

We ventured into Washington today to visit Cape Disappointment State Park.  We hiked a short trail to see the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse.  We also toured the Lewis and Clark Interactive Museum.  It was a very gloomy day!  We will try to go back on a clearer day to take advantage of the views. We drove to the other end of the park to see the North Head Lighthouse.  We made it just in time to be the last people that were able to climb to the top for the day.  Again, the views were pretty unremarkable due to the weather.

On the way home, we stopped in Astoria for dinner.  We tried a place called Rogue. They had an interesting beer selection and really good cheese curds.  I sampled a flight of beers since they are all local ones that I am unfamiliar with.

The restaurant was on a pier that also had a crab market.

We walked to the next pier over to get a good look at the sea lions that had gathered.  We could hear them from our pier.  They are quite noisy.
