On our way home from Arkansas, we stopped by our friend Eileen’s house in Hayesville, NC on Lake Chatuge. We were joined by our other friends from when we lived in FL. Karen, Alan, Dina, Mike, and Susan. The last time Karen, Dina, and I were at Eileen’s at the same time was 2017. It was so good to be reunited. We had amazing weather the entire time we were there. Every time we visit Eileen, we have an amazing time. You can’t go wrong with a beautiful location, great friends, good food, and lots of fun. We ate lots of good food, did lots of floating in the lake, boating, corn hole, games, drinking, and did I say lots of eating. We were introduced to her neighbors across the cove Tom and Donna, and they were a lot of fun. They joined us at Eileen’s for some corn hole and then invited us over to their place for some drinks the next day. Donna took Dina, Karen and myself “jeeping” one afternoon through some beautiful forest roads. Afterwards, we met up with the rest of the group in Franklin at the Lazy Hiker brewery for lunch and some drinks. Our week went by super quick but it was a lot of fun to be with everyone again.
