I’ve been trying to stay busy with different activities because it feels so different at home without my buddy Mack.

My friend Liz’s son was playing basketball for Southport Parks and Rec so we went to some of the games to cheer him on. It was very enjoyable and quite entertaining to watch this age group play.

Liz, Carolina, and I went for a wine tasting in Wilmington. As always, we had a great 5pm and enjoyed some delicious wine. After our tasting we went for lunch at a waterfront place that none of us had been to. It was a great day with great people.

Southport showed the movie Safe Haven on the lawn to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of it being filmed here. It was a very cold evening but we bundled up pretty good.

Southport Elementary held their annual Dolphin Dash fundraiser on St Patrick’s Day this year. We went to support Liz’s sons last run, since he will be at the middle school next year. Afterwards, we went to American Fish for a few afternoon St Patrick’s Day drinks.

I went back to the winery in Wilmington for another tasting, but this time with a different set of friends. We had a blast! And afterwards we enjoyed dinner at the Italian restaurant across the street.
