From Idaho to Oregon
We got up and out this morning and explored some of the waterfalls around the Twin Falls area.
First up is Shoshone Falls:
Then we went to the falls that gave the city its name. There is only one fall now, as the other was dammed up to get power:
From the falls it was time to take in the bridge over the canyon that they base jump from:
We then hit the road west towards Oregon. It was a nice mix of what looked like velvet covered hills, and then rough peaks, and then finally forest. The first forest we have seen since leaving Tennessee.
It turned from a sunny day to a rainy one, and then to snowy, and then back to rain. But we made it to Pendleton, Oregon.
Tomorrow, we head to Portland to kill a few hours, and then to Seaside tomorrow afternoon.
