We tried a new place this week.  It’s called the Whet Spot.  They have 20 beers on tap, wine choices, and 3 floor to ceiling refrigerators with cans and bottles of different beers and ciders.  Probably a good thing that we didn’t find this place until now.

On our walk home we saw this little deer family.

This weekend was the annual Seaside beach volleyball tournament.  They say it’s the worlds largest amateur beach volleyball tournament.  Bulldozers came in and created a main court and they put up 150 courts on the beach around it.  Quite impressive.  I was on call this weekend and had to work most of the day on Saturday, so we didn’t get to hang out down there and watch a lot.  After I got home from work we got ready and rode our bikes into town.  We stopped by the winery first because they were having live music.  We weren’t crazy about the music and didn’t stay long.  We went down to watch what was left of the volleyball tournament for the day.  We got there in time to watch the men’s doubles final match.  They took it to 3 games and extra points.  Rain came in and sent a lot of people running.  We were prepared with our raincoats.  We could see the rain coming in from the ocean and were able to get our jackets on right before it down poured.  It didn’t last very long though.
