Yay for Friday and yay for my birthday! Scott went to pick up our nephew so that he could spend the weekend with us. They arrived with a giant bag of sour patch kids and a certificate for me to get a massage.

We headed for dinner at Provisions. It’s right on the water and we enjoyed watching the boats go by despite the rain.

After dinner, we headed over to Oak Island to play on the beach for a little while. We had to take advantage of the gap in the rain.

There were lots of sea turtle nest roped off.

Next, we drove him down to the Oak Island Lighthouse and to go out on the beach some more.

There were several jellyfish on the beach.

It was cool to watch the storm clouds out over the ocean.

Once it got dark we headed back home to prepare for the next days adventures.
