This weekend my mom and dad came for a visit. It had been awhile since their last visit. We were also dog sitting Lucy again, so there was a lot going on this weekend. My parents brought their new bikes down with them so we were able to go on a couple of fun rides.

Friday night we got some Mexican take out and spent a lot of time front porch sitting.

Saturday morning, my parents and I got up early to hit a few yard sales on Oak Island. After we were done with the yard sales we took a quick trip to a public access to check out the storm coming in.

The four of us ventured out on a long bike ride even though the rain tried to ruin it.

After returning from that ride, my mom, Scott and I took a bike ride to the waterfront. We were even lucky enough to be able to watch a ship come in.

Back at home for the evening to hang out on the porch some more, play games, and just hang out.

Sunday, I made breakfast and then afterwards we did some more front porch sitting. After our food settled a bit, the four of us took another bike ride to the waterfront. It was so nice and our favorite chairs were available so we sat down there for a good while enjoying the breeze and view. Once again, we were lucky enough to see another ship come in.

After mom and dad left, we took Lucy and Mack for a nice walk to the waterfront. They get along so nicely.

On Thursday of this week, Scott and I went to Provisions for a late lunch /early dinner. I decided to try something new! I had a grilled tuna salad. The tuna was delicious! I didn’t care for the vegetables in the salad (they were soaked in vinegar or something) but I would definitely get the tuna again.

Oh yeah! Our fence is about 95% stained now! We just have to do the sliding gate.

I painted a new insert for my interchangeable frame. I think I’m going to add polka dots to the “g” so it shows up a little better. The yellow is hard to see.

Spring break is now over for Scott so he goes back to having to get up in the morning. Hahahah. Now I get to prepare for a party we are hosting this weekend. Stay tuned for a post on that.
