Hello April
April has been a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
We dog sat for Lucy for a bit while her parents were out of town. She was a little sad the first day and she went through the whole house looking for Mack. She finally settled in nicely and enjoyed lots of snuggles while she was here.
Scott and I built a sign for the yard with all of the places that we have lived together. I think it turned out awesome.
One of our favorite food trucks was in Southport so we rode our bikes to grab some food and headed down to the waterfront to enjoy our meal with a view. Our friends Liz and Daniel joined us.
All in Bloom held their annual Spring Customer Appreciation Day. We rode down there to enjoy lunch and some good music. There was quite the crowd. The band that played has a pretty large following. I caught a T-shirt that was thrown into the crowd and I won a sign from the raffle. It was a good day. So glad that the morning rain gave way for some afternoon sunshine.
We found someone local that was selling 4 Adirondack chairs made by the same people who made the ones we have, so we bought them and added them to our fire pit ring. Now there is plenty of room for people to sit around the fire with us.
This photo I took was one of about 10 chosen to be put on canvas and then displayed in the surgical services department.
I took a weekend trip to Rockingham just because. I finally got to meet my parents new puppy Thor. He is precious and all puppy. While I was there, I went to SpringFest to hang out with my friends Amanda and Stacy. Bucky Covington was the main attraction. He is a country music artist who was on American Idol and is a Rockingham native. We stayed until the sky opened and rained us out. Glad I got to visit with them for a bit. My brother and his family came over for the evening while I was there also. While there, I also went to the Berry Patch for some delicious ice cream and fresh strawberries.
A new place opened up within the last week that serves Gelato, Wine, and Beer. We gave the gelato a try and it was delicious. On the menu they also had alcoholic milkshakes. In the back they have a bocce ball court and cornhole boards and they’ll be having live music twice a week. I think this place may become a regular hangout spot.
