Nurse’s Week 2023
This week for Nurse’s week, we planned several different themed days for our Surgical Services nurses. We wanted to something a little different than the things we do all the time.
Monday we had a smoothie bar. We brought in frozen fruit, yogurt, milk, honey, spinach, juice, peanut butter, and blenders for everyone to build their own smoothies. We also created a “selfie challenge” game where we had a list of things that we asked them to take a selfie doing.
Tuesday we had a salad bar. We brought in different lettuces, chicken, and all the toppings to make a delicious salad. We have lots of people on “diets” right now so we were trying to have something for everyone.
Wednesday we brought in breakfast. It is after all the most important earl of the day. There were lots of goodies and for some of us it was what we had for lunch also.
Thursday we did a medical themed snack day. We brought in normal snack items but gave them medical themed names. We also made a Never Have I have Game for them and a can you see the difference in the poop game.
For a gift, we made all of the nurses a koozie and also gave them a pen. For our circulating nurses (the ones we work most closely with) we made a special gift for them. We got them lunch boxes and then we personalized them. They also got a koozie, a pen, a candle, and a bottle of soap.
I hope all of our nurses know how much we appreciate them and how much we love working with them.
