Halloween
This year we went to Grissettown for their haunted forest/house with our friends Lecy and Barr. We enjoyed it very much and only screamed a couple of times. Afterwards we went for a drink at a restaurant on the water near their house.
I did the Southport witch bike ride again this year and was able to stay until the end. I also made some more of the witches bitches shirts for the guys handling traffic for us. My friends Jen and Justine joined me. The amount of people participating increases every year. There had to be hundreds of us this time. We rode around a little and went to several establishments in town that welcomed us and some even had special drinks for the day. There was a DJ truck that led us around and at one point we blocked off a street and had an impromptu witch dance party. My crew ended our day at American Fish. Always a good time. Until next year.
For work, we asked people to bring in scary/creepy food for a pot luck. It’s always fun to see how creative people can get. We had less participants that previous years, but it was still fun.
Halloween at our house got a late start this year due to several storms prior. On Halloween night, I ended up being at work until 6pm so it was a rush to get home and get ready before the trick or treaters showed up. Don’t think this was our best year for decorations but not too bad. Several kids still told us we were the coolest house of the night. We beat our previous record of trick or treaters this year having 37 of them.
