February and March
We have not gotten into a whole lot over the last couple of months, but here are a few things.
I did an escape room for the first time. A few friends went with to Wilmington where we did an escape room and then grabbed dinner. We did escape from the room with like 5 minutes to spare. It was the first time doing one for all of us. I was proud of our combined smarts and teamwork.

Dawn’s husband asked me to help with a surprise birthday party for her. It was really hard to talk with people at work about it with her hearing or finding out, but we were successful. She was surprised! Mission accomplished.

My first cousin once removed, Amelia, came for a visit during her spring break with her boyfriend. It was a lot of fun having her around. Even though the weather wasn’t the greatest, it was cold and rainy, we made the most of it. The one sunny day that we had, we took a ferry ride over to Kure Beach. She was determined to swim, and she did. The water temp was 51! We went to the USS NC battleship for a tour. We strolled around downtown Southport and visited the shops. I took them to the Oak Island Lighthouse. And we hung out a lot and played some games. Can’t wait for her to come back.

I took Moose for a quick visit to Rockingham. It was my dad’s 70th birthday! Mikey, Danielle, and the kids also joined us. We had a great visit. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a Mexican restaurant and then just hung out and enjoyed the company for the rest of the day. Moose had the best time with Thor and Tinley. I don’t know how it happened, but Talon is now old enough to start driving! He took us on a short little drive to practice.
