USS North Carolina
I got us tickets to the battleship for Christmas. Scott has been wanting to go back for awhile now. Today seemed like such a good day to go.

Mom and I got together for our annual Christmas baking extravaganza. We baked for 2 days and plated up the cookies and delivered them to our neighbors. Christmas being on a Wednesday is no fun. I had to work Tuesday and Thursday so we just made a quick trip up to my parents. We took both dogs. Moose and Thor…
A group of us took a trip to Cary for the NC Chinese Lantern Festival. We loaded up in the van and made the 2 hr trip. We stopped for dinner at YardHouse and then headed to the festival. When we got close to the venue, there were soooo many people that I was a little nervous about how crowded…
We went to the Southport Light the Night Christmas Parade and had a good time. We rode our bikes up to watch from in front of the Tiki Tavern. We met Carolina who joined us to watch the parade. The parade seemed longer this year than years past. There were a lot of good floats.
This weekend we had our OR Christmas party at Craig and Jill’s house. It was themed A Christmas Story. Our food for the evening was Chinese, and it was delicious. Craig and Jill are awesome hosts and everyone had a great time. Liz and I planned for some games and came up with the prizes. We played a balloon caterpillar…
I might take a picture or two (or a bazillion) of our pups! I just love them. Moose is growing into such a sweet boy and Anna is getting more comfortable here in her new home. I took Moose for his first trip in the van to go see my parents. Moose was able to play with his friend Thor…
This year Wingtoberfest was moved into November due to several storms that we had. We had some newcomers this year and some regulars. There were 7 different wings to enjoy and judge. My wings took the trophy this year. It was a new recipe that I had not tried before this event. We had lots of good food. We played…
Scott and I were invited to enjoy some of our friends for a bonfire on the beach on Oak Island. We took our chairs, some drinks, blankets, and picked up some pizzas for everyone to enjoy. Jen built us a beautiful fire and Mother Nature provided a beautiful sunset. It was a great evening!
For his birthday, we took him to Unleashed to get a special treat and birthday cookie. Can’t believe he’s 1 already. He gets neutered at the end of this month. He is going to be such a good big boy!
Scott and I had to run some errands in Wilmington so on the way back we stopped in Fort Fisher to check out the kite festival. It appeared as if there were less kites than last year. They are pretty neat to watch.
